FAQ

Appointments for custom designs are booked by filling out my booking form over email. This can only be done if my books are open, meaning that I’m accepting new clients. Exact directions on how to book will be sent out on my newsletter as well as posted clearly on my instagram. If my books are closed you can not immediately book an appointment – you may however subscribe to my newsletter to receive updates for when my books open up.

I do not. All the information I will need should be included in your original booking request. Hence why it’s important that you take your time when filling it out. Find good reference/inspiration pictures and be specific when you explain your vision. If you want to leave certain aspects up to me, that’s also perfectly fine – I prefer a certain level of creative freedom with the design.

Absolutely! I have experience tattooing B&G work on BIPOC. I have not yet had much experience with color work on melanated skin and do offer a discounted color rate for BIPOC to make up for my lack of experience.

Yes! Skin that has existed longer in this world is usually thinner and takes damage a little easier so color tattoos might have to be broken up into 2 sessions. On the other hand, color tattoos heal incredibly well on older skin and colors are often more vibrant due to a thinner layer over skin healing over the pigmentation.

I do not currently do cover-ups or fix other artists work.

I’m located in Copenhagen, Denmark and Aarhus, Denmark.

I do 1 free touch up on any work done by me within the first year of completing the work. We can do the free touch up session after the 1 year mark has passed as long as you reach out to me beforehand and let me know that a touch up is needed.

Yes as long as they’re at least 12 months old.

A flash / pre-drawn is a design I have drawn up and would like to tattoo. I post these on my instagram story and they are available under my instagram ‘FLASH’ highlight. You may reach out any time to claim any available flash design. Keep in mind that there will be no changes made to these designs.

Anything nature & botanical! I’m usually more drawn to subject matters I haven’t done before. I also really enjoy tattooing oddities and unusual tattoo ideas. I feel particularly drawn to interesting placements and medium/larger scale concepts.

I do not tattoo outside my own style. *check my portfolio for reference.

I do not accept tattoo requests that are too busy (trying to fit five different kinds of flowers into one small design etc).

I usually decline birthflowers (I’ve done them too many times).

I do not tattoo script, tribal, watercolor, geometric or hate tattoos.

I don’t tattoo fingers, toes, lips, ears.

I do not show the design before I see you the day of your appointment. There will be time then for any necessary adjustments.

1 reschedule is allowed as long as I’m notified at least 1 week prior to your appointment day.

To cancel, please let me know as soon as possible so I have a chance to fill your spot.

Deposits are always non-refundable.

*I do not offer reschedules for guest spot bookings.

Please keep in mind that reschedules & cancellations are usually a major inconvenience to your artist and let us know as early as possible.

AFTERCARE

Taking good care of your new tattoo is important to ensure optimal healing.

I will wrap your tattoo in plastic wrap that I advise you to leave on for 2-3 hours. You will not re-wrap it. Re-wrapping your tattoo will enchance risk of infection and irritation of the skin.

Keep it clean & wash frequently

B&G: Wash it 2-3 times a day depending on need.

Color: I strongly recommend washing it every 3-4 hours for the first 24 hours and after that slowly dwindling it down to 2-3 times daily. This is to prevent bodily fluids from drying on the tattoo resulting in scabbing that could potentially pull out ink.

Gently pad your tattoo dry with a clean paper towel

Product: For keeping your tattoo clean I recommend using Castile soap. You can also use unscented antibacterial soap but Castile soap is better for both your skin and the environment.

Apply aftercare ointment

After washing your tattoo, apply a thin layer of ointment. Emphasis on thin as a thick layer will prohibit your skin from breathing which can lead to your skin breaking out. Rub the ointment into the skin thoroughly.  Reapply whenever your tattoo begins to feel dry, itchy or tight.

Products: I recommend: Aquaphor (this is what I use)

Allow ~3 weeks of healing –

No sun exposure or tanning beds. Sun lotion is also a no. Instead protect your healing tattoo with clothing if you’re going to be outside.

 – No soaking the tattoo. This means no baths and no swimming (showers are fine).
 – No gym or excessive sweating for the first week.
 – Do not pick or scratch at the tattoo during healing and only touch it with clean hands.
 – Wear loose clothing over the tattoo. Tight abrasive clothing could pick at the tattoo and pull out ink.

Keep in mind: Your tattoo is an open wound! Do not rub it against things or let you kids touch it. Do not let animals lick it and do wash your sheets if animals sleep in bed with you.
